Saba Gaziyani is a pint-sized revolution in the F&B world. India’s foremost Food Stylist, actually giving a definition to the term when she started out in 1996, Saba is today on the speed dial of global food majors; ad film makers and packaging giants, directing ad films and table-top shots. That is when she is not innovating an entire new recipe for her lip smacking, ready to eat chutneys and curry brand - As Chef’s Cook.

Falling in love with food is all about the senses, she believes. “Way before you smell it, touch it or taste it, just looking at it approach you, should make you salivate thus that you cannot resist submitting to its flavorsome overtures. And that is simply what I do, make food imagery look so irresistible, that a viewer is convinced he must have it.”

An alumnus of the illustrious IHM, Mumbai (locally recognized as Dadar Catering College), Saba set-up Food Photographics, India’s only dedicated food photography studio in 2004. This is her canvas, her favorite retreat. When you can’t reach her on phone, just walk up to this rustic cottage in Mumbai’s Aram Nagar, the back door (or is it the front!!!) is always unlocked. And there’s always a buzz inside yet there is a sense of serenity, of positivity and ingenuity that engulfs your senses and makes you a part of the food journey this elf like creature has designed.

Indian ad world’s most loved and wanted, almost every third food image that beckons you from ad-films, print-ads, digital screens, hoardings, packaging, menus or leaflets, has been styled or shot by the deft hands of Saba.
